INDULGENCES

I am a sucker for good food! I don't usually eat a TON but there are just a few things that I will over eat any day. These beauties are one of those indulgences! My friend Tammy just expanded her Cold Stone to include a Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. Now don't worry.....I am still hopelessly devoted to See's. I will never abandon my true love.....dark chocolate truffles. But that is a whole other post!!! Anyway, my second favorite treat.....Caramel apples. This beauty is covered in chopped up Reese Peanut Butter Cup. Just divine! I actually brought home TWO apples that night but the first one was gone before I thought to take a photo. Told you.....indulgence!
This past weekend a group of 6 friends went up to Heber to shop, scrapbook and EAT. We all splurged and went to someplace nice one night. The special that evening was macadamia nut crusted halibut served on a bed of mango and hicama salsa. The rice was cooked in coconut milk. OH MY.......it was one of the best meals I have eaten. I will splurge again as soon as I can get Dave up there for date night....it is SO worth the one hour drive!!!

Mother's Day was, as always wonderful. I convinced the kids that I did not want breakfast. We have 9 AM church and the big breakfast in bed thing would be more stressful then anything so we opted out of that tradition this year. I did get some really nice bath salts, bubble bath, and foot scrub. The kids all know my love of a nice hot soak in the tub. They even got me a good book to go along with it......"Women of the Book of Mormon" I can't wait to dive into it! I got my traditional corsage. It is a family tradition. My dad always got my Mom one....and still goes out and sets one at her grave. (I hope he knows how much that means to me) He passed the tradition onto Dave and I have not been without one single Mother's day in 18 years. Thank you Dave.....I love you!
Too bad Ty's eyes are closed. I will have to do the photoshop thing and just swap out his head. So cool how you can do that. Too bad I don't know how.

I hate/love how you look as young as your kids! You look JUST like you did in HS--you evil thing:)

I too LOVE caramel apples--THE GOOD ones! Yum! We get some here that I seriously inhale the second I get one in my posession....Y.U.M. Good thing they are expensive, or I'd eat three a day.

I have said this before, but you really are pretty! All your photos are beautiful. The apple looked tasty, although sweets are evil to me now. I need to lose about 10 pounds!!!!!

Super cute pictures Jenn, I love them. You all look so put together ;) I can't believe Ash is going to Jr. High. I look at her and think where did the time go. If we can only have it back. I love the corsage tradition. That is so sweet! I love that your dad still gives one to your mom, very touching.
