MORE CHRISTMAS FUN!

These all posted in a weird order....Sorry! On Christmas day, after opening presents, we all went to Aunt Michele's house for dinner and games. It is tradition to decorate gingerbread houses or gingerbread men. This year we did little men and the kids had a great time! Look at the intense look on Brandon's face. He was determined to get as much frosting and candy on that little cookie as humanly possible!

These two photos are a little tender to my heart. For the past few years my Mom has called me and asked what the kids want for Christmas. Sometimes she has gotten them individual gifts but recently we have decided on a family gift. Mom and I had that confersation two days before she died. Last year she got them the guitar hero game for the Wii. This year we decided on the Wii Fit. The kids have been asking for it all year and I just held off knowing Mom would want a gift idea. After she said that she liked the idea I went ahead and ordered it for them. It came while we were gone for her funeral. I told the kids the story and they were really touched that Grandma had thought to get them something they wanted so badly. You can see from the photo how excited they were. I am really not a video game person.....AT ALL.....but I must say, I really love this Wii fit and the kids can play is all they want. You actually get a pretty good workout on some of the activities. Dave got me the All Star Cheerleading game. I haven't had time to "try out" for the team yet but I am excited. Julie, Tracy...any of the HS squad want to come over and play??? Em, I am just waiting for you to come see me!

My dad got the kids a couple of games for Christmas this year. The "catch phrase" game has been a big hit! We have played it in the car...actually we just leave it in the car. It is a great way to offset the desire for the kids to fight! We love the games and have had a lot of fun playing them together over the break. We are now on a game kick and have a whole list of new ones we want to get!

This was actually taken after the kids decorated the tree. Another cute family tradition.....we have to get a photo of the kids in front of the tree each year. I guess we should have taken the photo before the kids got into their PJ's.

All star Cheerleading...I am gonna have to find that! (Although I doubt I would make the squad anymore!)
Looks like you guys had a fun christmas.
I was in Lehi on Sat, that is where my brother lives. Had I had more time, I would have called you, but we hit the road pretty early. Maybe next trip.

To answer your question from my post....yes it was the Little America in downtown SLC......the package was the Getaway package and if you stay on a weekend it's only $189....which is really good I thought because you get a $60 dining credit along with that rate. You just have to call 1-800-453-9450 to book the package. It was so worth it!!! Some day we'll be rich enough to stay at the Grand American....I'd love to check that out!!!

Why do I suspect that the reason Brandon was so determined to put as much icing as possible on his gingerbread man was so he had more to eat!
