CHRISTMAS FUN!!

I know I am really late on posting! We have had a CRAZY but very FUN two weeks! We started our Christmas break with a trip to Disneyland. We were a little worried about actually getting there. Las Vegas got hit with a HUGE storm that dropped several inches of snow. For them that was a big problem. The schools were all closed and the summit going into California was closed for a day also. The big storm was on Thursday, we left on Friday for Vegas, stayed overnight and then drove into California on Sat morning. By then things were fine and the roads were all clear. We arrived in Indio on Sat evening. The resort was beautiful! I have to say, I really like staying at the resorts rather then a hotel. I like having a washer and dryer in the room and being able to cook instead of eating out. It saves lots of money! We traveled with some friends and they are the ones that own this vacation resort thing. We can't thank them enough for getting our rooms for us! I wish I had taken photos. I wasn't thinking about that for some reason....duh! We left for Disneyland on Sunday morning. We stayed in Anaheim on Sunday night and went to Disney again on Monday. That day it rained pretty hard until noon but we planned for that and had ponchos and umbrellas. The rain was really not a big deal for us. I did feel bad for all the families with little kid and pushing strollers. Glad I am out of that phase of life!

This was "It's a small world". This is my favorite ride, especially at Christmas! They redo the entire ride...not just decorate, actually redo everything. It is so awesome. It reminds me so much of my Mom. This was her favorite ride too. We went to Disney many times growing up and this is the ride I remember her on. I actually got a little emotional riding it. I just wish we had gone to Disney with Mom and my kids. I wish they could have seen her there...she was like a kid!


This is as we got off "Big Thunder Mountain Railroad". I did a dumb thing this year and did not get a single photo of the entire family. Either Dave is in them or I am in them. We did have the Disney people take a few for us so I am going to have to order those in order to get any "family" photos. This was Monday and it was cooler because of the rain. We are used to cold temp so it was not a big deal....beanies and gloves kept us warm enough but there were some people in full coats. The lines were really short on the water rides that day!

This was taken during the fireworks. They were just beautiful! After the fireworks were finished they have these machines that spray foam bubbles from the rooftops all down mainstreet. It looks and feels like snow. It was truly magical!!! Alyssa got down and made a snow angle....causing a traffic jam but it was cute!

This was when we first walked in. I hate waiting in lines for characters but we decided we had to get this one! I love how they are all dressed up for Christmas!
