ROCKIN' AND ROLLIN'

If any of you have been watching the news today, you may know that eastern Nevada was hit by a 6.0 earthquack that was felt in California, Utah, and even Idaho. I was one of the lucky ones to feel it this morning! We woke up early to Alyssa standing in the doorway, wrapped in a towel, complaining that there was no hot water. Dave went downstairs to find that the hot water heater went out on us last night. We were awake so he decided to do some work in the office. I was attempting to go back to sleep when I felt the bed rock back and forth, much like the motion of a ship at sea. I looked up to see the blinds moving and a hanger that was on my curio cabinet about to fall down. It was weird. At first I thought Brandon wa s kicking the wall but then realized that had to be an earthquack! Just then my phone rang and my neighbor said, "did you feel that?" I sat up and said," so I am not crazy....was that an earthquack?" We turned on the news to find out, yes indeed, we had just experienced our first earthquack. Luckily, there was no damage around here and most poeple were still asleep and did not even know what had happened until the noon news! What a way to start the day!

Glad you finally updated! I stopped checking, bum! J/K but that is a crazy story. Glad everyone is okay. I remember when we were younger, (you may have already been graduated) but there was a big earthquake in California (probably early 90's or late 80's) and we felt in in I.F. and they cancelled school because they were scared of after shocks. It even knocked out the power. Do you remember?

I don't remember that. Are you talking about the one that knocked down that double decker road? I remember the quack but not feeling it. I do think I was at BYU then. This one could be felt but only if you were standing still or lying down. Some of my friends who were driving or up walking around did not feel it. I was still in bed and I sure as heck felt it!
